The OKS-58 was developed as an extremely fast breath-by-breath oxygen sensor to assist universities and research studies measure VO2 max (maximal oxygen consumption)
VO2 Max is the peak rate your body can use oxygen during intense exercise, a key measure of cardiovascular fitness, reflecting how efficiently your heart, lungs, and muscles work together.
The idea surrounding VO2 max focus' on improving it through High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) like running or cycling, understanding its role as a health predictor (better fitness, lower disease risk), and exploring its physiological limits, influenced by genetics and training, to maximize aerobic power.
The sensor is designed with one of the fastest response times of an electrochemical oxygens sensor making it ideal for applications that require fast response or as a breath-by-breath sensor.
The sensor is capable of measuring oxygen from 0.1 up to 100.0%.

Model OKS-58 is not marketed or labeled as FDA cleared.
It is manufactured under ISO 13485 and sold exclusively in international markets where FDA clearance is not required for import or use.
